Like bats in cages we contain our rages
At 8 we clap on Thursdays
The government subs our wages
Complacency has reigned the powers that be within our race
so mother nature’s bitch slapped us back to our place
With no cars and no chem trails my breathing has changed
No asthma inhaler for days and days
The world forced our hand to abort its abuse
So many found they never had no cause to commute
will we take on board the lessons and use what’s been learned
Or like moths to incandescents continue to burn
Will upsides be thwarted by shortage of supplies
Will it be in vein again that scores and scores have died
one thing is for sure, and i know this no lie
the future stems from choices, both yours and mine.

I look down my street and I see kind beside cruel
I turn on the news for good hearts led by fools
Yet even this china shop cage of raging bulls
Has room for the man with a glass half full
so raise your cups with me and lets rejoice on that that we still have
yet save a thought for those who’ve lost their kids and mums and dads
To those that risked their lives to keep us fit we doff our hats
from negative comes positive if after though we act
So ditch them red tape politics give us our planet back
